Saveliev pointed out the inflated ticket prices at regional airports.
Aeroflot invests up to 10 billion rubles annually in maintaining affordable fares, but regional airports are uncontrollably overestimating the cost of service. This was stated on September 4 by Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Saveliev during the session "Efficiently, quickly, for people: implementation of national transport projects in the Far East" within the framework of the Eastern Economic Forum - 2025 (WEF-2025).
"Aeroflot spends up to 10 billion dollars a year making flat fares, and the governors do not control the cost of airport services," he said.
The Deputy Prime Minister also noted that simply multiplying the cost of an air ticket "due to the fact that the investor wants to return the money" is wrong and called on the regional governors to pay attention to this problem.
During the session, the Deputy Prime Minister also noted the great importance of transport infrastructure for the development of the Far East. In particular, according to him, an important megaproject for the development of connectivity between the development of the Far East and Siberia is the construction of the eastern railway landfill. In addition, until 2030, measures are envisaged to modernize the airfield infrastructure of 29 airports located in the Far Eastern Federal District (Far Eastern Federal District).
