Manturov announced the launch of the first satellite assembly line in Russia
Russia has managed to establish the first domestic assembly line for spacecraft weighing up to 300 kilograms. This was announced on September 4 by the first deputy head of the Government of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov.
According to the press service of the Russian government, Manturov visited the Krasnoyarsk Machine-Building Plant, which produces rocket and space technology and equipment for the fuel and energy complex, and discussed with members of the delegation and the management of the enterprise the issues of staffing the industry.
Roscosmos was tasked with establishing satellite assembly line production. Today, together with you, we are convinced that this task has been completed. Work is already underway to form orders for loading this line," the government's website quotes the first Deputy Prime Minister as saying.
It is noted that the line uses robotics and automated control systems, such as smart tools, machine vision based on neural networks, visualization of the process of performing production operations, which will reduce the time required to create spacecraft and increase labor productivity.
Earlier, on June 6, Manturov said that by 2030 the entire territory of the Russian Federation will be provided with stable communication channels as part of the national Space project. According to him, the number of communication devices will grow in near-Earth, geostationary and high elliptical orbits. At the same time, Manturov noted that for the implementation of these tasks, the involvement of private business enterprises in the production of spacecraft is a prerequisite.
