The priority of the new urban planning policy in the Rostov region will be the integrated development of territories, in which social, engineering and transport infrastructure facilities are being built along with residential buildings. This was announced by Yuri Slyusar, Acting Governor of the Rostov Region, at the Strategy 2030 forum.

The forum participants discussed the issues, as well as the principles of the new urban planning policy, in which the priority is the integrated development of territories. During the event, Slyusar said that the governor's program to support civil initiatives "Let's Do it Together", which has a budget of half a billion rubles a year, will be continued. Also, 500 million rubles will be allocated from the regional budget for the renovation of playgrounds that do not meet safety requirements and pose a threat to children.

The acting governor also pointed out the insufficient synchronization of housing construction and the construction of schools, hospitals, and kindergartens. He recalled that the authorities have radically revised their approaches to urban planning policy. "The main and obligatory principle now is the integrated development of territories. It is aimed not at creating favorable conditions for developers, but at creating conditions for a full—fledged life for people," Slyusar emphasized.

An important area of activity for all municipalities, primarily for the Rostov agglomeration, Taganrog, and other large cities, should be a competent architectural policy, Slyusar pointed out. He added that landscaping should be one of the priorities for landscaping in municipalities.
