Reconstruction of the bridge over the Upa River has started in the Tula region

Reconstruction of the bridge over the Upa River, located on the Tula–Belev highway, has started in Shchekinsky district of the Tula region. This is reported by the regional Ministry of Transport and Road Management.

As of September 4, the contractor has already completed the preparatory work. A construction site and a household town were set up on the site, and the vegetation layer was removed.

Workers are currently replacing weak soil and installing piles. It is planned to fully complete the reconstruction of the ferry in 2027, TSN24 clarifies.

The bridge over the Upu in Shchekinsky district was built in 1975. Since then, the crossing has never been reconstructed. The bridge connects the settlements of Nikolskoye and Krapivna, as well as the Tula – Belev and Shchekino – Odoev – Arsenyovo roads.
