Russia's international reserves increased by $2.7 billion in a week, to $685.5 billion. This was reported on the Central Bank's website on September 4.

"As of the end of the day on August 29, 2025, international reserves amounted to $685.5 billion, having increased by $2.7 billion, or 0.4%, over the week, mainly due to a positive revaluation," the regulator said in a statement.

On the same day, Alexander Shokhin, president of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP), announced that the Central Bank would lower its key interest rate next week. He stressed the importance of using this opportunity to invest and restore projects that were suspended due to an increase in the key interest rate to 21%.
