The Moscow State Traffic Inspectorate announced a three-day raid called "Motorcycle safety." The preventive event will be held from 5 to 7 September, the metropolitan traffic police said in its Telegram channel.
The purpose of the event is to prevent traffic violations when driving motorcycles, mopeds, pit bikes and ATVs, including minors.
"During the raid, traffic police officers will check the availability of necessary documents from motor transport drivers, conduct preventive conversations about strict compliance with traffic rules, and also remind them of the importance of using protective equipment," the department noted.
Special emphasis will be placed on the responsibility of parents for the safety of children and explaining the risks associated with driving motorcycles, the traffic police said.
From August 29 to August 31, Moscow traffic police conducted a raid "SIM. The cyclist." In three days, more than 8,300 violations of traffic regulations of the Russian Federation by users of personal mobility equipment and bicycles were stopped. Of these, almost 3.6 thousand administrative materials were compiled in relation to couriers of delivery services.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that the Prosecutor General of Russia, Igor Krasnov, instructed the State Traffic Inspectorate and Rostransnadzor to check after complaints from entrepreneurs.
