On the eve of the City Day, the 20th parade of trams and retro cars will be held in Moscow. The event will take place on Saturday, September 6 and will end with an exhibition of historical transport, the press service of the Moscow Metro reported.

A column of 15 retro-tramways will pass from the Novokuznetsk metro station to Chistoprudny Boulevard. After the arrival of the convoy, a large-scale exhibition of historical wagons and cars will be held on Chistoprudny Boulevard.

"Tram parades have already become a good tradition. They take place in Moscow 3 times a year and are always very popular with Muscovites and tourists," said Maxim Liksutov, Moscow's Deputy Mayor for Transport and Industry. He stressed that the authorities continue to develop the capital's tram and acquaint residents with its rich history on behalf of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

The organizers also prepared a program with free treats, entertainment for children and special photo zones for the parade's audience and exhibition visitors. In addition, artists from the Music in the Subway project, the Academic Choir of the Moscow Metro and Denis Maidanov, a special musical guest, will perform on Chistoprudny Boulevard. Historical reenactors will help create the atmosphere of the past years.

The event schedule for September 6: at 11:30, the column will start from the Novokuznetsk metro station, and an exhibition of historical trams and cars will be held on Chistoprudny Boulevard from 12:00 to 18:00.

It should be recalled that in the summer, a historical transport parade was held on Sergiy Radonezhsky Street for the first time. It was timed to coincide with Moscow Transport Day. The parade and the exhibition of retrotechnics were then attended by more than 140 thousand people.
