Bikovich revealed the specifics of working with the Chinese side on "Red Silk"
Chinese actors are more expressive, more dedicated, and more professional. This was announced to Izvestia on September 4 by Serbian and Russian theater and film actor Milos Bikovic.
He called the creation of Russian-Chinese cinema wonderful because of the richness in the exchange of different cultures and value systems with common ground, but different manifestations. The actor noted that he enjoyed working with his Chinese colleagues.
"Chinese actors are more expressive. They are very dedicated, very selfless, professional, and disciplined. With this expression, they express their culture in a slightly different way than we are used to," Bikovich emphasized.
According to him, the Chinese film crew outnumbers the Russian one. He pointed out a feature related to how employees negotiate breaks and days off. At the same time, the actor noted that such unique moments are noticed if you look closely.
Among other things, Bikovich noted that he tried to learn Chinese, but it turned out to be difficult. According to him, the language had to be learned from scratch. He clarified that Russian and Serbian have similarities, but there were difficulties with Chinese. The actor shared that he had repeatedly asked for help from colleagues from China. They, as the actor noted, were patient.
"When I was learning Russian, there were only roots, a lot of common words, and so on. I learned Chinese just like a baby learns to speak. Like my son now, when I tell him a word, he repeats it 40 times until he starts saying it. <...> I was trying to speak Chinese, they (colleagues from China. — Ed.) they were like, "What?" he added.
In addition, Bikovich clarified that he had not thought about becoming a superstar in China. At the same time, he noted that he would be happy to create something together.
As for the Chinese media, the actor noted that they are interested in the essence of the film, the feelings of the Russian side during its creation, as well as the specifics of bilateral cultural exchange and the values that Moscow and Beijing can enhance each other.
In conclusion, Bikovich stressed that the film crew is already preparing for the second Russian-Chinese film, Black Silk.
The film will be shown using CINITY technology, which allows you to watch movies at 120 frames per second, which will ensure full immersion in the action. The largest film corporation, China Film Group, became the distributor of the film in China. The film was created with the participation of NMG Kinoprokat, a company that is part of the National Media Group holding.
Student Anna, who attended the premiere, shared with Izvestia that she was waiting for the screening because of her interest in the unusual combination of cultures. She also noted the years in which the action takes place. According to her, not everyone makes films about this time. Anna also called Russia and China an unusual combination.
All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
