Ideas of new industrialization and technological sovereignty are being promoted at the WEF–2025

One of the central ideas that is being promoted at the Eastern Economic Forum is the achievement of Russia's technological sovereignty. Themed banners are used in the design of the Forum site. The slogan "Choose Russian" was chosen as the key message for this campaign.

"In the current geopolitical conditions, gaining full technological sovereignty is becoming a matter of national security, economic stability and long-term development for Russia. This is a complex, multifaceted task that involves not just import substitution, but the creation of an integrated, self-sufficient scientific and technological ecosystem, from basic research and training to mass production. The successful solution of this task will allow the country not only to reliably protect its sovereignty, but also to take a leading position in shaping a new global economic architecture," said Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation and Executive Secretary of the WEF Organizing Committee.

The work is carried out within the framework of the agreement between the Roscongress Foundation and the United Russia party, which was concluded at SPIEF 2025. It implies cooperation within the framework of the "Choose your own" party project. The parties also agreed to exchange analytical materials, provide mutual advisory support, coordinate participation in working groups and form a common expert and communication environment.

"Together with the Roscongress Foundation, we strive to create a unified, sustainable ecosystem of opportunities for scientists, entrepreneurs and industrialists across the country. One of the tools of this work is cooperation within the framework of congress and exhibition activities, which is also reflected in the agreement. I am convinced that our work will yield a systematic result," said Sergey Morozov, coordinator of the "Choose Your Own" project of the United Russia All–Russian Political Party.

The goal of the "Choose your Own" party project is to unite entrepreneurs and industrialists, representatives of the educational sphere and science, government authorities and public organizations in order to promote technological sovereignty and import independence.

The tenth anniversary Eastern Economic Forum is taking place in Vladivostok from 3 to 6 September. This year, the main theme of the forum is "The Far East: cooperation for peace and prosperity." The WEF is organized by the Roscongress Foundation.
