Rosseti told about investments in the grid complex of the Far East

By 2029, ROSSETI plans to invest 415 billion rubles in the grid complex of the Far East. This was stated by the head of the company Andrey Ryumin, speaking at the session "Electricity for the development of the Far East" of the Eastern Economic Forum.

He noted that the development of the region's energy infrastructure is the company's priority. "We will complete all the facilities of the second stage of the development of the Eastern landfill, we will build transits to connect the energy systems of Siberia and the East. We will also continue to work with large consumers, and we are planning large—scale projects in Primorye, Khabarovsk Territory, and Yakutia to provide new generation capacity," Ryumin said.

In the Far East, ROSSETI is represented mainly in the backbone complex. In addition, a subsidiary of ROSSETI Siberia operates distribution networks in two regions — Buryatia and the Trans—Baikal Territory.

Over the past five years (2020-2024) ROSSETI allocated almost 40% of the UNES investment program — about 390 billion rubles - to finance projects in the Far Eastern Federal District. The company has commissioned more than 3 thousand km of power transmission lines and almost 2.5 thousand MBA of power. These are facilities aimed at electrification of the Eastern Railway Landfill, power supply to pipelines, mining and processing enterprises. In addition, an infrastructure of systemic importance has been created in Yakutia.

Rosseti clarified that the company also faces capital-intensive tasks that are not yet included in the investment program. The issue of financing is currently being worked out with relevant departments.

The session considered proposals to increase the level of utilization of network capacities created for technological connection. The implementation of a reference principle for determining operating costs for branches of the ROSSETI Siberia distribution company operating in the regions of the Far Eastern Federal District was also discussed.
