The countries of the Middle and Far East are showing interest in signing long-term cooperation agreements with the Kherson region. This was announced on September 4 by the governor of the region, Vladimir Baldo, on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum – 2025 (WEF-2025).

"The southern part of Russia, the Black Sea region, the Azov Sea region, it has always attracted business from the Middle East, <...> but at the same time, the very large fertile lands that exist in the Kherson region also attract investors from far abroad — China, Indonesia. <...> They are looking more and more closely at our territory and They are interested in concluding long—term contracts," said Baldo.

According to the governor of the Kherson region, despite the remoteness of most European companies, some of them continue to cooperate with the region.
