Zakharova stated the contradictory position of the United States in resolving the conflict in Ukraine

The approval by the White House administration in the United States of a possible deal to sell missiles and equipment to Ukraine for $ 825 million is in contrast to the words about the settlement. This was stated on September 4 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, during a briefing on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum - 2025 (WEF-2025).

Zakharova noted that any assistance to Ukraine increases the likelihood of a re-escalation of the conflict. She added. that Russia does not intend to discuss foreign intervention in Ukraine in any form.
