According to the national project "Youth and Children", a network of 25 modern university campuses will be created in Russia by 2030, in which 78 thousand students and university staff will live, the Russian Ministry of Education and Science told Izvestia.
According to the ministry, 25 new campuses will appear in 22 regions of the country. The total amount of funds for the creation of all campuses is 723 billion rubles, of which 344 billion are federal.
Campuses will appear in seven federal districts and 22 regions of the country. In the first wave, they will be built in Nizhny Novgorod, Ufa, Yekaterinburg, Kaliningrad, Chelyabinsk, Moscow, Novosibirsk and Tomsk.
The second wave of campuses will appear in Samara, Perm, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Ivanovo, Arkhangelsk, Tyumen, Khabarovsk, Veliky Novgorod and the Federal Territory of Sirius.
There are 3 wave campuses in Ulan-Ude, Chita, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Vladivostok, Murmansk, Smolensk, and Moscow (two projects: MGSU and MSTU Stankin).
Currently, according to the Ministry of Education and Science, organizations subordinate to the Ministry currently have 1,768 dormitory buildings housing 510.1 thousand people, including 481 thousand students.
