NovSU scientists told about the danger of bile stagnation
Scientists at Yaroslav the Wise Novgorod State University (NovGU) have found that stagnation of bile in the body can lead to irreversible changes in the structure of the liver. About this on September 3, "Gazeta.Ru" was told by Marina Kashayeva, Associate Professor of the Department of Human Morphology.
"Currently, there is a high incidence of cholelithiasis, and dangerous complications of this pathology, such as mechanical jaundice (cholestasis), are steadily progressing," the associate professor said.
Kashaeva explained that when bile stagnates, the structure of liver cells changes, and poisoning begins in the body.
The expert noted that after the outflow of bile normalizes, liver cells are almost completely restored.
