The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has suspended the signing of a visa-free regime agreement with Argentina. This was announced on September 3 by the Axios portal.

The Interior Ministry noted that this decision is related to the corruption scandal with the country's president Javier Miley.

"There are no new or additional documents related to the visa—free entry program awaiting signing with Argentina," said the representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

At the same time, the representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said that the United States does not intend to abandon cooperation with Argentina.

Earlier in the day, the sister of Argentine President Javier Miley and Secretary General of the country's administration, Karina Miley, was accused of participating in corrupt schemes in medical contracts. Personal conversations between Karina Miley and other officials were recorded, which proved her involvement in corrupt activities.
