- A ban on the publication of information about military facilities has been introduced in the Belgorod region.
The operational Headquarters of the Belgorod region has imposed a ban on the publication of information about the work and deployment of military personnel, as well as critical facilities. This was announced on September 3 by the governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov in the Telegram channel.
"Restrictions are being imposed on the dissemination by citizens in public space, including on the Internet, of any information related to the work of the military, their locations, equipment and weapons used, as well as civilian infrastructure — communications facilities, industry, fuel and energy complex, bridges and other critical facilities and their protection," — he declared.
In addition, information received from unofficial sources about the locations of attacks and their consequences was banned from publication. The authorities are the first to distribute information, after which this information can be further disseminated by the media and other sources of information.
Administrative liability measures are provided for violators of the new rules. As Gladkov noted, the decision to impose restrictions was dictated by security concerns.
Earlier, on August 29, Tatarstan imposed a ban on the dissemination of data on the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). It is noted that the ban will not apply to official sources or with reference to them. According to the authorities of the republic, the publication of unverified materials may interfere with the work of operational services.
