The ex-president of France called the feud with Russia a historical mistake.

Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy called Europe's enmity with Russia a historical mistake. He said this in an interview with Le Figaro on September 2.

"We call Russia our main threat and main enemy. This is a historical mistake! Today, it should be noted that Europe is more isolated in the international arena than Russia," he said.
