CEO of LIFE and SHOT revealed the efficiency formula for the creative team

The key to creating a productive environment for creative teams lies in rejecting rigid frameworks and creating a special ecosystem where creativity can be revealed as freely as possible. This was stated by Denis Arapov, CEO of the joint editorial board of LIFE and SHOT, at the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok.

"We work with our team and promote a corporate culture of work + play. That is, our entire working process is actually more like a home environment or a semi—game format," he said.

Arapov identified three fundamental elements of such an atmosphere. The first is a symbiosis of work and play, which is a prerequisite for creative people whose profession is a lifestyle. The second element is a properly organized space. Thoughtful lighting, bright colors, open layouts and mandatory relaxation areas play an important role, which turn the office into a comfortable and inspiring place.

The third component is the creation of a "place of power." This is a special platform where the best works and achievements of employees are displayed so that the whole team can see the results of their common work and be proud of them.

The CEO paid special attention to the paradox of "control — creativity". According to him, these are mutually exclusive concepts, since any strict control instantly reduces the productivity of creative people. Instead, it is better to use the principle of "soft control". It includes a free schedule, permission to be yourself in the workplace, comfortable recreation areas and a carefully calibrated aesthetic atmosphere. The main thing is that each team member feels a special, inspiring atmosphere around them, which becomes the main engine of creativity.
