Israel has attacked a facility that was used by the Lebanese Hezbollah group to produce funds to help its reconstruction. This was reported on September 3 in the press service of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

"Some time ago, the Israel Defense Forces attacked a facility used to manufacture equipment designed to support the reconstruction of Hezbollah and prepare terrorist attacks," the IDF wrote on its Telegram channel.

The IDF press service added that the presence of this facility is already a violation of the agreements between Israel and Lebanon, and the Israel Defense Forces will continue to eliminate any threat to the state.

Earlier, on August 25, Israel expressed its readiness to support Lebanon's efforts to disarm Hezbollah. In particular, Tel Aviv expressed its readiness to support "joint work on a safer and more stable future for both countries." If necessary steps are taken to disarm Hezbollah, Israel has promised to take retaliatory measures, including phasing down the IDF presence.

Prior to that, on August 21, the Axios portal reported on the US administration's call for Israel to reduce strikes on Lebanon in order to disarm Hezbollah. It was clarified that the Lebanese authorities had begun disarmament preparations on Washington's instructions, but residents of the country doubt the government's ability to do so.
