A shipment of counterfeit Labuba toys worth more than $500 million was seized at Seattle Airport in the United States. This was reported on September 3 by NBC News, citing a representative of the country's customs and border service.

"Last week, a shipment of fake Labubu dolls was intercepted at Seattle Airport, the value of which, if they were genuine, would have amounted to more than half a million dollars," the publication says.

According to the TV channel, US Customs and Border Protection officers seized about 11.1 thousand toys. Their cost is approximately $513 thousand.

It is specified that the toys were seized on August 26. This happened as a result of a police inspection of the Labuba supply, during which they found violations of federal law. It prohibits illegal importation and profit-making through the use of other people's intellectual property rights.

The representative of the company said that the cargo was marked "LED lamp" and it was shipped from South Korea. The article also emphasizes that the intercepted batch of toys will be destroyed.
