Russia's cooperation with its partners in the East is for the benefit of the people, not against third countries. This was announced on September 3 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, the Izvestia correspondent reports.

Peskov expressed the hope that these words had a figurative meaning. He stressed that Russia's cooperation with China, North Korea and other Eastern countries, as well as work within multilateral formats like the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and BRICS, are aimed at creation, not against anyone in particular.

"The principle is for the benefit of the peoples of our countries, not against third countries. Therefore, no one is plotting anything, no one has either the desire or the time for this. There is a desire and everyone is looking for time and opportunities to create for the benefit of the people in their countries," he explained.
