Xi Jinping urged humanity not to return to the "law of the jungle"
Humanity, living on the same planet, must coexist peacefully and never return to the "law of the jungle." This was announced on September 3 by Chinese President Xi Jinping.
"People live on the same planet, and we must work together and peacefully coexist. The world should never return to the law of the jungle," he said at a reception at the People's Assembly House in Beijing on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Victory in World War II.
Xi Jinping also called for upholding the common values of humanity, as well as defending international justice.
On the same day, Sergei Naryshkin, Director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), recalled the common historical lessons of the Second World War. According to him, the peoples of the Soviet Union and China went through difficult trials for the sake of their independence, and therefore, based on similar experiences, they jointly defend the right to the historical truth about the Great Victory.
