Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Mykola Tishchenko proposed renaming Bankovaya Street, where the office of the President of Ukraine is located, in honor of the murdered ex-speaker of the Ukrainian Rada Andriy Parubiy. The video of his speech in parliament on September 3 is provided by the Telegram channel of the publication "Страна.иа ".

"He is a real Ukrainian <...>. And therefore I propose to rename Bankovaya Street and give this street the proud name of Andrei Parubiy. I ask you to support my proposal," Tishchenko said at a meeting of the parliament.

The murder of Parubiy became known on August 30. According to police, in the afternoon, the department received a report of a shooting in the Sykhiv district of Lviv. As a result of his injuries, the ex-speaker of the Rada died on the spot.

On August 30, the ambassador-at-large of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Rodion Miroshnik, suggested that the murder of Parubiy could be connected with the cleansing of the political field by the new Bandera from the old Bandera.

On September 1, the suspect was arrested. Later, the Lviv court chose a preventive measure for the defendant in the form of detention for 60 days without the right to bail.
