More than 50 activists held a rally at the Japanese Embassy in Moscow, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II. Footage from the scene on September 3 is published by Izvestia.
The purpose of the action was to remind about the millions of victims of the genocide, as well as about the terrible biological experiments conducted by the Japanese military. Among other things, the activists wanted to show that attempts to rewrite the history of the Second World War will not be able to overshadow the truth and the memory of nations.
In addition, the participants condemned Japan's territorial claims, calling for recognition of the historical truth and condemnation of the actions of the Japanese authorities during the war.
Earlier this day in Beijing on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the victory over militaristic Japan and the end of World War II. A military parade was held. At the end of the celebration, 80,000 balloons and pigeons were released into the sky on Tiananmen Square in the city center.
