Russia has requested additional clarifications from China on the conditions of entry as part of the visa-free entry decision. This was announced on September 3 by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

"Additional clarifications have been requested from the Chinese partners on the conditions of entry and stay of Russians in China as part of the aforementioned decision," the agency's website says.

It is specified that upon receipt of information from the Chinese side, it will be posted on the department's Internet portal.

The introduction of a visa-free regime for Russian citizens with a regular passport for up to 30 days became known the day before. The trial period will be valid for one year — until September 14, 2026.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko, in turn, pointed to the potential of Russia and China for a twofold increase in tourist traffic. According to him, the tourist flow has reached about 70% of the pre-peak level with more than 230 weekly flights.
