Manturov predicted a significant increase in the production of hybrid cars in Russia
In Russia, by 2030, according to the objectives of the federal project, it is planned to produce over 183 thousand electric vehicles and cars with a sequential hybrid power plant. This was stated by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov, TASS reports on September 3.
According to him, almost all domestic automakers will produce hybrid cars as this segment develops. Manutrov noted that in addition to the Evolve i-Space, several Voyah hybrid models have been assembled in the Lipetsk Region, which are subject to demand incentive programs. It is important to increase the pace of production and development of charging infrastructure in a synchronized manner, the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation pointed out.
As of the beginning of July this year, there were more than 72,000 plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEVs) in Russia. This is almost a quarter more than at the beginning of the year (57.9 thousand units), Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat analytical agency, estimated earlier. According to him, the hybrid fleet surpassed the size of the fleet of pure electric vehicles (BEV) in the Russian Federation, which by mid-summer amounted to 65.2 thousand units.
Earlier, on August 29, it became known that the frame SUV BAIC BJ60 will cost in Russia from 5.3 million rubles. The power plant of the SUV is implemented using the "soft hybrid" technology: the electric motor performs the function of a starter that facilitates the operation of the internal combustion engine.
Prior to that, on August 28, Exeed announced the appearance on the Russian market of the third model in the Exlantix line after the hybrid crossover ET and sedan ES. The flagship Exlantix E02 SUV will make its debut in Russia in 2026.
