It is now difficult for Russian businesses to compete with Chinese manufacturers. This was announced to Izvestia on September 3 by Alexander Kalinin, president of the Opora Russia NGO, on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF).

"To compete, for example, with Chinese manufacturers that operate on a market of 1 billion 300 million, they only have their own market. Accordingly, the costs. Well, even take making nails, which there have been many discussions about, to the Russian market of 140 million and to the Chinese market, 10 times more. The cost of such a nail will be a priori several times less than in China," Kalinin said.

According to him, the Russian side is now looking with concern at the fact that it is very difficult for Russian businesses to compete with Chinese manufacturers in the domestic domestic market.

On September 2, the leaders of Russia, China and Mongolia had a conversation in Beijing. Following the talks, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping signed more than 20 documents on bilateral cooperation between Russia and China.

At the same time, Russian Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko spoke about the active cooperation between Russia and China in the field of medicine and medical education. He also said that the agenda includes discussion of new areas for joint work between the countries — digitalization of medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, scientific research and pharmaceuticals.
