Zakharova: the issue of reciprocal visa cancellation for Chinese citizens is being worked out

The Russian side is currently working on the issue of retaliatory visa cancellation for Chinese citizens. This was announced on September 3 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF).
"This issue is currently being worked out. I think that we will share this information in the course of its interdepartmental coordination," she said in an interview with TASS.
The introduction of a visa-free regime for Russian citizens with a regular passport for up to 30 days became known on September 2. The trial period will be valid for one year — until September 14, 2026.
