Russia and the United States are discussing the date and venue of new negotiations between the two countries. This was stated on September 3 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum - 2025 (WEF-2025).

"The date and venue of the next negotiation round are currently being agreed upon," she said.

She added that Moscow and Washington have points of interaction, for example, on the issue of cooperation in the Arctic zone. According to Zakharova, the topic of neighborhood and the convergence of economic interests of the two powers may take a place on the agenda of the negotiations.

"One of the most promising areas is the joint development of minerals, because the Arctic is a warehouse of valuable minerals, metals, and energy resources," said a representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry in a conversation with RIA Novosti.

In her opinion, Russia sees the mutual interest of the United States in resolving contradictions in bilateral relations.

On September 2, Russian President Vladimir Putin allowed Russia and the United States to cooperate at nuclear facilities in Slovakia. He also noted that in case of "favorable circumstances," Russia, the United States and Ukraine can cooperate three ways at the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP).
