The US Federal Appeals Court said that US President Donald Trump illegally applied the Law on Enemies of Foreigners for deportation. This was reported on September 2 by CNN.

"A federal appeals court has declared that President Donald Trump's use of the Foreign Enemies Act to quickly deport alleged members of Venezuelan gangs is illegal, and has blocked its use in several southern states," the TV channel said.

CNN added that Trump's decision to act on this law is due to the intensification of the conflict between the United States and Venezuela. It is assumed that after this decision, the American leader will appeal to the Supreme Court, which will resolve the problem of deportation.

On May 20, the administration of US President Donald Trump announced its intention to deport 200,000 Ukrainian refugees from the country who previously had temporary protection status. The deportations will be funded from $250 million that was previously earmarked for foreign aid. It is specified that the administration of former US President Joe Biden for the first time granted temporary protected status to citizens of Ukraine in 2022 after the outbreak of the conflict in the country.
