On the same day, Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived at Tiananmen Square. Chinese President Xi Jinping and North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un also attended the event. Together, the world leaders welcomed the veterans invited to the ceremony.

After the start of the march, the Russian leader sat to the right of his Chinese counterpart. On the left is Kim Jong-un. The heads of other states were also present as spectators.

How the parade started

The parade in Beijing began to the sound of artillery volleys. The signal for their start was given by Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Li Qiang. The ceremony was attended by 45 military crews representing all types and branches of the People's Liberation Army of China (PLA).

In his opening speech, Xi Jinping noted that the Chinese people have made a huge contribution to achieving world peace. At the same time, he stressed that the Chinese army has always been a reliable support for the party and the people.

How was the walking tour?

At the end of the introductory part, the Chinese leader conducted a car inspection of military equipment and troops in Tiananmen Square. He drove past military formations, behind which there is military equipment.

During the march, cyberspace troops and information support troops took part in the celebration for the first time. The Cyberspace Defense Force is responsible for ensuring cybersecurity and upholding sovereignty in a virtual environment. The information support troops, in turn, are called upon to resist information attacks and identify attempts to manipulate public consciousness.

The Military Space Forces (VKS), the PLA women's brigade and the People's Militia were also represented.

During the procession, helicopters of the PRC army depicted the symbolic number 80 in the sky. At the same time, the pilots positioned the aircraft on the same horizontal plane.

During the parade, the DF-5C strategic nuclear intercontinental missile, whose destruction radius covers the entire planet, was shown separately. Long-range cruise missiles used by the country's naval and air forces, including the Changzhen-20A, Yunzhi-18C, and Changzhen-1000, were also presented.

In addition, hypersonic missiles, characterized by high flight speed, breakthrough power and high accuracy, could be seen at the event. Among them are Jinglei—1 air-blocking missiles, JL 3 submarine-launched intercontinental ballistic missiles, Donfeng-61 land-based intercontinental missiles and a new type of ground-based intercontinental missiles.

This is the first time that such tools have been presented together.
