Brazil noted the ability of Russia and China to resist the West
The good relations between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping allow Russia and China to stand up to the West. This was reported on September 2 by the Brazilian newspaper O Globo.
"Opposition to the West was also clearly expressed at the meeting. Describing the period of global instability, Xi Jinping singled out Moscow, with which he signed an agreement on "unlimited partnership" in 2022, as an important partner in his geopolitical plans," the publication says.
It is noted that in recent years, trade and military ties between the two countries have expanded significantly, which causes concern to the West. In addition, Beijing has increased its investments in Russia's strategic sectors.
Earlier in the day, Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, announced the signing of agreements with the Chinese National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC/CNPC) to increase supplies from 38 billion to 44 billion cubic meters per year via the Power of Siberia gas pipeline.
Also on Tuesday, the leaders of Russia, China and Mongolia had a conversation in Beijing. Following the talks, Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping signed more than 20 documents on bilateral cooperation between Russia and China.
