Construction of an overpass across the MCD-2 in the north of Moscow has begun.

Construction of an overpass from 8 Marta Street to Priorov over the tracks of MCD-2 has begun in Moscow. This was announced on Tuesday, September 2, by Vladimir Yefimov, Deputy Mayor of the capital for Urban Planning and Construction.

The length of the facility will be about 450 m, width — 17 m, it will include eight spans and two lanes in each direction.

Preparatory work is currently underway.

A 70-meter underground passage to Timiryazevsky Park and the MCD-2 station will appear in the alignment of Akademika Ilyushina Street.

According to the head of the relevant department, Vasily Desyatov, about three kilometers of roads will also be built and renovated as part of the project, new traffic lights, stops and crossings will be equipped.
