The Parliament of the People's Assembly of RS BiH has elected a new government
The Parliament of the Republika Srpska of Bosnia and Herzegovina (RS BiH), the National Assembly— has elected a new government by a majority vote. Savo Minic, the former head of the Ministry of Agriculture, became its head, Radio and Television of Republika Srpska (RTRS) reported on September 2
"The new government, elected at today's special session of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, includes four new ministers and 12 ministers of the previous convocation," the publication says.

In March, the BiH Prosecutor's office decided to detain President Milorad Dodik. Later, on August 1, the President of Republika Srpska appealed for help to Russia, Serbia and the United States after the appeals chamber of the court upheld his sentence. The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, in turn, called the decision of the appeals commission unjustified and antidemocratic, and the verdict against Dodik was absurd.
On August 6, earlier, the CEC of BiH made a unanimous decision to annul Dodik's mandate and call early elections. The Bosnian authorities decided to revoke the mandate after the decision of the Court of Appeal, which upheld the February sentence of Milorad Dodik. On February 26, the politician was sentenced to a year in prison and deprived of his right to hold public office for six years.
