Since the beginning of 2025, specialists from the urban economy complex have checked over a million gas stoves in Moscow apartments. This was announced on Tuesday, September 2, by the Deputy Mayor of the capital for Housing and Communal Services and landscaping, Peter Biryukov.

He noted that gas workers fix minor malfunctions on the spot, and in case of serious violations, they ensure safety and provide repair recommendations.

According to Biryukov, the service life of the stove is 10-12 years, after which it must be replaced, and the equipment must be equipped with a gas control system, writes Moscow 24. The responsibility for the state of the equipment lies with the owners and tenants of the housing.

The deputy mayor added that information about scheduled inspections is published in advance on the Mosgaz website and at the stands in the entrances, the Moscow City News agency reports.
