Peskov commented on Fico's words about comparing the EU to a toad

With the words about the "toad that sits at the bottom of the well," Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico explained the degree of misunderstanding by the European Union (EU) of what is happening in the world. This was announced to journalists on September 2 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"This is probably some kind of fairy tale, it's most likely, as far as I understand, some kind of Slovak folklore, where they say they compare it to a toad that sits at the bottom of a well and does not understand what is happening above. This is actually such an allegory," he told reporters.
