An earthquake of magnitude 5.0 occurred in Kamchatka. This was announced on September 2 on the website of the press service of the Kamchatka branch of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

It is noted that the seismic event was located at a depth of 41 km at a distance of 219 km from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
