Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic called the conversation with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in Beijing very honest and important on September 2.

"We had very open, sincere and important talks with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, and I believe that we touched upon all topics of mutual interest," he told Serbian media after the meeting.

According to him, Russia has proved itself to be a reliable partner in the energy sector. Vucic noted that Serbia has also proved itself to the Russian Federation and Hungary through the use of a gas pipeline through the country.
