The Houthis announced drone strikes on four sites in Israel, including the General Staff building. This was stated on September 2 by the military representative of the movement Yahya Saria on the air of the Al Masirah TV channel owned by the Houthis.

According to him, drones also attacked Ben Gurion Airport, Ashdod seaport and a power plant in Tel Aviv. According to a representative of the armed forces formed by the Houthis, the attacks "successfully achieved their goals."

They also reported a missile attack on the Israeli-affiliated MSC ABY ship in the Red Sea using two drones and a cruise missile. The ship "was directly hit."

Earlier that day, after the death of the leadership, the Houthis threatened to attack the residence of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

On August 29, it was reported that the Prime Minister of the Houthi rebel movement Ansar Allah, Ahmed Ghaleb al-Rahawi, was killed as a result of an Israeli airstrike on Yemeni Sanaa. The movement later confirmed his death. The Houthis also reported the deaths of several ministers.
