The grand opening of the Alley of Memory within the framework of the "Living Heritage" project of the MAER media holding took place on September 2 in Vladivostok. In memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War and as a sign of gratitude for a peaceful future, representatives of government, business and society planted 80 trees.

The Mayor of Vladivostok Konstantin Shestakov, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of Primorsky Krai Anton Voloshko and CEO of the MAER media holding, the ideological mastermind of the Living Heritage project Konstantin Mayor addressed the guests with a welcoming speech.

"A few days ago, we solemnly opened the renovated part of the embankment for recreation and walks of citizens. Today we have a unique opportunity to continue the transformation of this space, making it even more comfortable," said Vladivostok Mayor Konstantin Shestakov.

"For Vladivostok, the appearance of the Memory Alley is certainly an important acquisition. These are not just trees, but a living symbol of our gratitude to those to whom we owe our lives. This project is a reminder that life goes on, and historical memory is the legacy that we must preserve for future generations," said Anton Voloshko, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of Primorsky Krai.

The creation of the Memorial Alley on the Vladivostok embankment was shown in real time on the media facades of the MAER media holding. The live broadcast and its repeats were seen by tens of thousands of residents and visitors of the city.

"We are creating a "Living Legacy" — a living memory that will grow, strengthen and remind future generations of the courage of the defenders of the Fatherland. Trees are a symbol of perseverance and greatness of spirit, which we must preserve and pass on," said Konstantin Mayor, Chairman of the Living Heritage Foundation and owner of the MAER.

Living Heritage is a federal project of the MAER media holding aimed at preserving historical memory and strengthening Russia's environmental well—being through the planting of memorial alleys in cities. On the opening day of the Eastern Economic Forum, the Alley of Memory will be planted on Russian Island right outside the walls of the Far Eastern Federal University.

The MAER media holding traditionally acts as a communication partner of the WEF. This year, the media holding will broadcast the news of the forum and will reach 14.5 million people with information. The WEF news will be seen 225 million times.
