The bestsellers of the Russian car market in August are named

Lada Granta family cars (including those produced on its basis) continue to excel in the Russian car market. In August of this year, sales totaled 12.9 thousand units, which is 31.4% less than a year ago. This is stated in the message of the analytical agency Autostat, which was received by Izvestia on September 3.

The bestseller among foreign cars remains the Chinese Haval Jolion crossover, which sold 6,643 cars at the end of the summer (-25.8% by August 2024). It is followed by Lada Vesta, which resulted in 6332 cars sold (-43.9%). The top five most popular models at the end of summer also included the Belgee X50 (5,102 units; +59.6%) and the Chery Tiggo 7L (3,770 units).

Changan Uni-S, Chery Tiggo 4, Geely Monjaro, Haval M6 and Lada Niva Legend rounded out the top ten of the Russian car market in terms of sales.

Among all the listed models, sales growth is demonstrated only by the Belgee X50 (+59.6%), and the strongest drop was recorded in the Lada Vesta family (-43.9%).

"If we consider the market dynamics for the first eight months of 2025, there is no positive trend in any of the models presented. At the same time, sales volumes of the Belgee X50 decreased less than others (-0.8%)," the analysts said.
