In the future, Russia may begin cooperation with the United States at nuclear facilities in Slovakia. This was announced on September 2 by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting with Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico in Beijing.

He also noted that in case of "favorable circumstances", Russia, the United States and Ukraine can cooperate three ways at the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP).

"This does not concern Slovakia, but it is a prerequisite for us to implement joint projects in the Slovak market," he said, a fragment of the meeting was posted on the YouTube channel of the publication DRM News.

The Russian President added that Rosatom has long been a reliable partner for its Slovak colleagues.

On the same day, Fico stated that Bratislava was interested in standardizing relations between Russia and Slovakia. According to him, the countries should look for opportunities to deepen and expand bilateral cooperation, as well as find areas where they can cooperate closely.

Putin is in China on a four-day visit, during which he attended the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit on September 1. In addition, the leaders of Russia, China and Mongolia had a conversation in Beijing on Tuesday. Following the talks, Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping signed more than 20 documents on bilateral cooperation between Russia and China.

A military parade will be held in Beijing on September 3 at 4:00 Moscow time. The broadcast will be available on the Izvestia TV channel.
