Over the past week, 29 cases of fraud were registered in the Pskov region. The total damage to citizens exceeded 19 million rubles.

The scammers used various deception schemes. In Murmansk, a 46-year-old man responded to an offer to earn income from cryptocurrencies, Bi-port news agency writes. After communicating with the "curators", the victim registered on the online platform and transferred first 8 thousand rubles, then 600 thousand rubles. When the man received a refusal from the bank to apply for a loan of 5 million rubles, he realized that he had become a victim of fraudsters.

The police said that several other people transferred money under the pretext of providing assistance in anti-fraud measures.

In Magadan, a 61-year-old man gave 5.6 million rubles to fraudsters. The scammers convinced him to transfer the funds to "safe" accounts.
