The suspect in the murder of former Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy confessed to what he had done and denied rumors of Russian involvement, it follows on September 2 from a video posted by the Telegram channel "Страна.иа ".

"Yes, I knew him, I killed him," said the detainee.

He called his actions "personal revenge of the Ukrainian authorities." In addition, the man denied the information spread by the Ukrainian media about the alleged involvement of the Russian special services and noted that there was no blackmail. The detainee also explained that he decided to kill Parubiy because of his close location.

"Because he was there. If there was Petya (ex-President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko (is a member of the association included by Rosfinmonitoring in the list of those involved in extremist activities or terrorism). — Ed.), so it would have been Petya," the suspect said.

It is specified that Mikhail Viktorovich Sinelnikov was detained on suspicion of murder.
