A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The southern group of troops liberated the village of Fedorovka in the DPR. As a result of the actions of Russian military personnel, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost more than 205 militants, two armored combat vehicles, seven vehicles, an artillery piece, three electronic warfare stations, an ammunition depot and a depot of materiel. In addition, the Zapad group of forces improved the tactical situation, and units of the North group of forces defeated Ukrainian armed formations in Sumy and Kharkiv regions.

"The units of the Center group of forces have taken more advantageous positions and positions. The manpower and equipment of four mechanized, airborne, assault, two amphibious assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a marine brigade and two National Guard brigades were defeated in areas of settlements <...> of the Donetsk People's Republic. The losses of the Ukrainian armed forces amounted to 385 military personnel, five armored combat vehicles, four vehicles and three artillery pieces," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

The Russian army, with the help of aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), missiles and artillery, defeated the port infrastructure of Ukraine, which was used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a drone manufacturing plant, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 162 districts. In turn, air defense systems shot down 158 aircraft-type drones.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special operation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost 666 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 81,130 UAVs, 627 anti-aircraft missile systems, 24,922 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,589 multiple rocket launchers, 29,167 field artillery and mortars, 40,904 special vehicles.
