When is Oil and Gas Industry Workers' Day in 2025
For many years now, Oil and Gas Industry Workers' Day, also known as Oil and Gas Workers' Day, has been celebrated on the first Sunday of September. In 2025, this date falls on September 7th.
Traditionally, geologists, drillers, engineers, technologists, well builders, transport workers and other specialists whose activities are related to the exploration, production, processing and transportation of oil and gas are congratulated on this day.

The history of a professional holiday
The holiday was established in 1965 in honor of the successful development of oil and gas fields in Western Siberia. Then it was called the "All-Union Day of Oil and Gas Industry Workers."
