Changan will start selling cars in Russia under a separate brand
The Russian representative office of Changan has launched a new website for the models of the Uni line. This name will be used for a separate sub-brand, and the Uni brand will have its own dealers in Russia. On September 2, <url> Magazine drew attention to this.
It is specified that the new brand will be positioned as "innovative and technological." The Uni models are also distinguished by their original design style. It is assumed that the name Changan will no longer be used in the names of these models. The process of Changan's transformation into Uni has not yet been completed.
The new line includes the already well-known Uni-S, Uni-T, Uni-K and Uni-V liftback crossovers on the Russian market. It also included the Lamore sedan, which was renamed the Uni-L.
Earlier in the day, insiders reported that cars of the revived Volga brand are being created in collaboration with Geely, and a presentation of the project will take place soon. Last year, the prototypes for three Volga models were cars from the Chinese automobile company Changan, but their sales did not begin.
Yesterday it became known that the AGR Holding plant (formerly Volkswagen) began production of the Tenet T8 crossover. This is the third model of the Russian brand that has entered the assembly line of the Kaluga plant. All Tenet models are based on Chery. The Tenet brand was created specifically for the Russian market.
