A criminal case on spreading fakes about the Russian Army and evading the duties of a foreign agent against the writer Dmitry Bykov (recognized in the Russian Federation as a foreign agent) has been filed in a Moscow court. The relevant information has been published on the portal of the courts of general jurisdiction of the capital.

It is specified that the case was registered on September 1, 2025 in the Cheremushkinsky district court.

Earlier, the press service of the Moscow prosecutor's office reported that the criminal case against Bykov had been sent to court for consideration on the merits.

The Russian Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against Bykov in late April. An investigation was launched against him under Part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Public dissemination of knowingly false information about the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation"), Part 2 of Article 330.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Evading duties provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation on foreign agents").

Later, in July, Bykov was put on the federal wanted list under the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The relevant data appeared in the search database of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.
