The heads of the SCO member states have decided to sign a Memorandum with the Roscongress Foundation.

The participants of the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member countries signed the Tianjin Declaration. A total of 20 documents were signed and adopted by the heads of the organization's member states following the summit, the list is published on the Kremlin's website. One of the documents was the Decision of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization on the powers of the SCO Secretary General to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the Roscongress Foundation.

"The decision to sign a Memorandum between the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the Roscongress Foundation, adopted following the SCO summit, will allow the Roscongress Foundation to organize joint congress and exhibition events of both bilateral and multilateral economic and social nature, in particular forums, conferences, round tables, business meetings, fairs, presentations, as well as develop schedule their implementation, organize the preparation of analytical materials in cooperation with the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and relevant departments. Today, we continue to record the growing interest of the organization's member countries in cooperation with Russia in various areas. The document, which will be signed in the near future, will help consolidate existing ones, as well as search for and develop new long-term partnerships between representatives of the business communities of the SCO member states and international organizations. The Eastern Economic Forum, which opens in Vladivostok on September 3, and the participation of numerous foreign delegations, including from SCO member states, confirms the relevance of signing the Memorandum," said Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation.

The document implies cooperation between the parties in a number of areas, including the development of common international communication platforms in order to stimulate interstate cooperation between the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, promote comprehensive and balanced economic growth of the SCO member states, and promote dialogue between the parties in trade, economic, cultural, scientific, technical, educational and other fields., the development of regional economic cooperation in various forms, including through attracting investments and the development of international cooperation and the exchange of experience on social issues.

Within the framework of the Memorandum, the SCO Secretariat and the Roscongress Foundation will provide mutual consulting, information and expert support on topical issues of cooperation, provide mutual information on programs of activity in areas of mutual interest, and exchange publications and other materials on a regular basis. In addition, the parties plan to send mutual invitations to participate in meetings, conferences, forums, seminars and other events related to and organized by priority areas of cooperation.
