Peskov called the Western political system outdated

The political system of the West is becoming obsolete, and in its place should come a more viable format created by the member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). On September 2, Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, told Izvestia.

"As one model exhausts its effectiveness, more viable and efficient systems are built on its basis. This process is very active now," he said.

Peskov noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin always resorts to multilateral formats of international contacts.
